Mexon Technology announces the release of the latest version of iET ITSM 4.1
Leusden – November 21, 2007 – Mexon Technology, leading supplier of IT Service Management, Asset Management and Process Management solutions, today announced the release of its iET ITSM 4.1 of iET Solutions LLC. Pink Elephant, a global leader in ITIL education and consulting, has confirmed that iET ITSM 4.1 meets the functional criteria for at least seven ITIL processes and has received PinkVerify status for all these processes.
"iET Solutions had already received PinkVerify certification for ITSM version 4.0 and met our rigorous criteria for Incident, Problem, Change, Configuration, Release and Service Level Management," said Pink Elephant President, David Ratcliffe. "We can now confirm that the latest tool version, 4.1, is compatible with ITIL's Availability Management process."
Availability Management
Availability Management helps guarantee that IT can meet the performance levels in the service level agreement. Availability Management measures the actual availability levels and takes steps to improve them if they are not within an acceptable range. If the service drops below the agreed threshold, alerts are automatically sent to the appropriate contacts.
ITIL V3 Ready
The new releases are "ready for ITIL 3" with service design and lifecycle management features that allow users to manage the lifecycle of their service portfolio with changes and releases, and manage the status of the service. Continual service improvement is also available, allowing the monitoring of processes through a dashboard interface with iET Process Analyzer
Compliance Focused
Sarbanes-Oxley friendly Change Management offers point-of-authorization sign in and thorough audit trails. iET CMDB Intelligence, a standard interface that provides business processes to reconcile differences between the CMDB and the live infrastructure, includes a discovery tool agent to track hardware and software license usage.
Additional highlights of the new release includes a improved self-service option that provides an easy way for customers to log incidents and change requests, reducing some of the call burden on the help desk. A new "Forward Schedule of Change" feature ensures the seamless execution of changes. iET Enterprise Developer's Studio supports the deployment of applications in a Windows client or on the web, without requiring special JavaScript skills.
"The prior version of iET ITSM was noteworthy enough to secure us a position in Gartner's 2007 Magic Quadrant for the IT Services Desk. This new release places us in an even stronger competitive position," said Michael Scheib, president and CEO, iET Solutions, LLC.
